What am I up to?

The big news is that I’m finally working for myself! That means I can focus all of my efforts on my own software. Products like Window Clippings will no longer be limited to my very scarce spare time but instead will command my full attention.

I’ve now been working on Window Clippings 3 for almost two months and am hoping to release a beta next month. I always felt so frustrated that I couldn’t make Window Clippings everything I imagined it should be due to a complete lack of time but I am thankful that I finally have the time to do just that. My priority is to release version 3 and then work on a few other products that I hope to begin rolling out some time next year.

As for my writing, I decided to take a break to get some real-world experience with C++0x. It’s easy enough to write about the various new features. It’s something else entirely to gain the experience of using all those new features in combination and in production code. I hope to share some of that experience in due course here on my blog.

Where in the world is Kenny?

It’s been a long time since I’ve blogged or written anything. We’ve been through quite a journey as a family. I won’t bore you with that story. What I will say is that we’re back in Canada and we’re here for good!

If you’re an existing subscriber of my blog you may not have noticed that I’ve just set up a permanent new home for myself on the web with a distinctly Canadian address:

This is where I’ll continue to write about software and talk about my new business. Stay tuned for more.
